The cement flows from the inlet to the outlet of the mill (a rotating chamber), being first ground with 60 mm then 30 mm diameter steel balls. Over time the charge (steel grinding balls) wear out, so when they reach a certain size they fall through a sieve and then are replaced. The amount of grinding is governed by the volume of cement fed into the mill: the greater the volume the coarser the grind.To produce the final product the clinker is mixed with gypsum, which is added as a set retarder, and ground for approximately 30 minutes in large tube mills. This has practical limits, with too much cement clogging up the mill and not enough actually increasing the particle size. The particle size is measured by laser diffraction analysis, and the quantity of material entering the mill adjusted accordingly. The first grinding breaks up the material and the second grinds it to a fine powder.
In order to get proper overflow fineness, we can properly increase the water amount to reduce the ore pulp density.Soil content: The higher of the soil content in raw materials, the larger the viscosity of ore pulp, then the smaller the setting velocity of the ore particles in ore pulp, the coarser the size of overflow products. If the soil content of raw material is too low, we should properly improve ore pulp density to avoid too much fine powders in the final products.
